
Substitute Teacher ** $200 Daily Rate ** at Ramona Unified School District
Requirements / Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE A 30-DAY SUBSTITUTE PERMIT OR CA TEACHING CREDENTIAL BEFORE APPLING WITH OUR DISTRICT Minimum Qualifications: -Valid California Credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit -Bachelor’s degree (any major) from an accredited college/institution Application Packet: Interested applicants are required to submit the following: -Edjoin Application -Letter of Interest -Resume’ -Three (3) current reference letters (Not dated older than two years) -Copy of your Bachelor’s degree and college transcripts -Copy of your CBEST Exam scores (or other option for meeting the Basic Skills Requirement) -Copy of California Teaching Credential(s) or 30-Day Substitute Teacher Permit (Applicants must hold a credential or 30-Day substitute teacher permit before applying.) NOTE: Application packet must be complete at time of submission. Interview and Selection Process: Human Resources will review applications for minimum qualifications and complete application packets after the deadline date. Applicants that meet the qualifications will be invited for an interview. Interviews are scheduled on a monthly basis, as needed at the District Office.

CTC fingerprinting: These fingerprints are required by CTC in order to grant you the substitute permit.
Clearinghouse fingerprinting: These fingerprints are required by most school districts in San Diego County to employ you as a sub teacher AND for SDCOE to issue you a Temporary County Certificate. These fingerprints are not required to apply for a sub permit, but will be required before employment in a substitute position. Once the above requirements have been met, contact the San Diego County Office of Education, Credentialing Department to begin the process for a Substitute Teacher Permit
