Downtown College Prep (DCP) prepares first-generation students for college success. DCP was the first charter school in Silicon Valley and currently operates two high schools and two middle schools in San Jose, CA. DCP currently serves 1750 students in grades 5-12 and provides college coaching, mentoring, and college scholarships to over 400 alumni. Under the direction of the School Operations Manager, the Food Services Assistant (FSA) will assist in the preparation, setting up and serving of food to students. The FSA will also perform cashiering duties and account for student meals. In addition, the FSA will maintain the food service facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.

- Sanitation and safety practices related to handling and serving food - Standard food service equipment - Basic math and cashiering skills - Oral and written communication skills - Basic record keeping techniques - Ability to analyze situations and take appropriate action in a variety of procedural matters without immediate supervision - Obtain and maintain a Food Handler Certificate - Ability to communicate with stakeholders across a variety of high-stakes issues - At least AA Degree or Equivalent Experience Required - Fluent in written and spoken Spanish
