Job Summary
Job Summary
Under general direction from the Superintendent, develop, implement, and administer the District’s public information program plan, including the coordination of accurate and effective media releases and communication with the public. Create and distribute digital and print publications and marketing products. Monitor and create social media content, District web platforms and related products highlighting District events and engaging the public. Create branding items and constant communication of the District Strategic Plan and District events, correspondence from the Superintendent, and other related projects, including developing crisis communications when needed.

The Claremont Unified School District is located in Southern California approximately 35 miles east of Los Angeles. The community is known for the Claremont Colleges and has a strong working relationship with these institutions.
Currently, the District has over 7,000 students in its K-12 program and runs an extensive Adult School program. There are seven unique elementary schools, a school for the orthopedically handicapped, an intermediate school, a comprehensive high school, and a continuation school.
All Claremont elementary schools are designated by the State of California as Distinguished Schools. Claremont High School is a National Blue Ribbon Award Winner and a California Distinguished School.
