Certificated substitutes will be compensated, fee waived or reimbursed for the following: • Keenan Training May submit a timesheet for the training time after working at least 10 hours in an identified position. Training completed this school year will be compensated. • Fingerprinting costs This cost will be waived if printed by PCOE/PUSD • Physicals Fees will be waived or reimbursed for specific classifications up to $120 and complete at least 10 hours in a substitute position • TB testing Free if administered by a certificated school nurse For more information, please contact Human Resources.

-Three letters of recommendation -30 day sub permit which can be applied for through the Human Resources office or directly with CTC at www.ctc.ca.gov -teaching credential in any subject that is not expired

The following items are needed in order to apply for a 30 day subbing permit from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) -a BA or higher from an accredited college or university. Official transcripts will need to be sent from the college/university to the Human Resources office. -the basic skills requirement (can be met with CBEST exam, coursework, other exams) has been waived until June 30, 2024. -fingerprints for CTC at a cost of $49. This fee is paid by us during the 2023-24 School Year if the fingerprinting is done at our District Office. The form can be found on the CTC website at www.ctc.ca.gov or can be requested from the Human Resources office. Our office will need a copy of the form after you complete your prints. Once these items are turned in to the Human Resources office you can be recommended for a sub permit. The cost is $102.50 payable to CTC (The CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing) and you will need to renew it annually.
