Job Summary

The part-time phlebotomy technician instructor will instruct theory and clinical in the program. Instructor is responsible for the instruction, organization, administration, continuous review, planning, development, and general effectiveness of clinical experiences for enrolled students.

Certificated Teacher Qualifications • Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credential: Health Science and Medical Technology OR • Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential: Health Science & Medical Technology OR • Willingness to enroll in an approved California Teaching Credential program immediately upon accepting the position AND • One of the Professional Expert Qualifications below Professional Expert Qualifications • Certified phlebotomy technician (CPT I or CPT II) with 3 years of experience in the previous 5 years OR • Physician assistant (PA), Registered nurse (RN), or Person licensed under Chapter 3 of the California Business and Professions Code OR • Respiratory care practitioner (RCP) with 2 years' experience in the previous 5 years
