Certificated Special Education Teacher Job Posting Northern Summit Academy-Shasta (NSA) is a WASC-accredited, TK-12 non-classroom-based, Personalized Learning public charter school. We are authorized by the Shasta County Office of Education and located in Anderson, CA. Our school serves students who reside in Shasta County and its contiguous counties. Students are provided their standards-aligned education through independent study, resource center classes, concurrent enrollment at the colleges, or any combination that is best for the student. Northern Summit Academy-Shasta (NSA) is searching for CA certificated Education Specialist who is qualified to manage an independent study roster of TK-12 students, work in conjunction with the Director of Special Programs to support special education students and the special education program. Applicants must hold an Education Specialist credential. The NSA Board is offering a $2,000 signing bonus for new hires. The school offers professional development and support to teachers who are new or experienced in the non-classroom-based program. This position requires excellent time management, communication skills, and timely and accurate paperwork. Additionally, the applicant must have or gain knowledge of the TK-12 CA Standards in all subjects. Applicants must be willing and able to learn and adhere to charter school laws, school policies, and procedures. It is highly desirable, although not required, that the applicant has working knowledge of the School Pathways Student Information System and SEIS. Applicants must be comfortable working in software programs, using technology, and learning new skills. Applicants may be required to deliver live distance, learning classes. Desirable additions to the credential, and the related experiences, are other CA credentials, Designated Subjects Credentials, and industry sector experiences for Career Technical Education, Criminal Justice, Home Economics, Art, and/or Culinary

Northern Summit Academy is a non-classroom based public charter school with a robust resource center. Desirable additions to the Education Specialist credential, and the related experiences, are other CA credentials, Designated Subjects Credentials, industry sector experiences for Career Technical Education fields. NSA is a dynamic, growing TK-12 program, as such, individual interests, skills, and hobbies are worth noting.
