The Board of Redding Elementary School District, located in Northern California, is seeking a highly qualified educational leader to fill the position of Superintendent beginning employment July 1, 2023. The exemplary candidate will lead The New Millennium Partnership, a partnership of three school districts: Redding Elementary School District, Shasta Union Elementary, and Igo-Ono-Platina. The successful candidate will be one who possesses: •Ability to foster a strong, positive organizational culture and climate •Ability to address and improve student achievement •Ability to assess and evaluate all levels of the organization and make appropriate instructional and fiscal recommendations and decisions •Outstanding communication skills •Ability to develop positive student-centered culture that focuses on the engagement of all stakeholders •Has leadership style built upon trust, enthusiasm, compassion, courtesy, transparency, attention to detail, and strong moral and ethical values •Strong knowledge in curriculum and instruction Please attach to your application: •Resume •Letter of Intent •Administrative Credential •Transcripts •Three professional letters of recommendation within the past two years

The Redding School District is located in Northern California, 150 miles north of Sacramento. The District serves approximately 3,000 Kindergarten through 8th-grade students in Shasta County. The District operates four K-5 and two K-8 elementary schools, one 6-8 middle school, a community day school, one dependent charter and one independent charter.
The successful candidate will provide administrative services for our one K-8 site Shasta Union Elementary SD (approximately 86 students), and one K-8 site Igo-Ono-Platina SD (approximately 34 students).
With mountains all around, miles of hiking and biking trails, a river running through it, and national parks nearby, Redding is an outdoor paradise for young and old alike. Cradled by Mount Shasta and Mount Lassen, Redding has 300+ sunny days per year. It's a great place to escape the chill of spring and the gray days of winter, too! Want a list of possibilities? TIME magazine called Redding the Unofficial Capital of Kayaking for its “weird obsession” with all things paddling. With temperate weather, nearby lakes, and that river in the middle of town, it would be “weird” to not get out and enjoy it all!
