      Comments and Other Information

The District is looking for both School Psychology Interns and those seeking combined School Psychology/BCBA internship supervision. However, BCBA is not a requirement to apply. This position will work collaboratively with a credentialed Alhambra USD School Psychologist to provide consultation, collaboration with staff and parents, conduct psycho-educational evaluations, provide counseling services to students, and advise on effective prevention and intervention activities. Major activities of the position may include leading the evaluation planning process, assisting and completing comprehensive special education evaluations, providing academic interventions utilizing effective research based interventions (group and individual), delivering counseling interventions at individual and group levels, and analyzing and interpreting evaluation results and supporting school teams to make databased decisions. The intern will have opportunities at comprehensive and specialized preschool, elementary, junior high, high school, and transition age (18-22 years old) programs. Interns will have the opportunity to learn, apply, and gain experience within the National Association of School Psychology’s (NASP) 10 training/practice domains and understand how the domains inform the range of knowledge and skills school psychologists can provide. Interns will learn about how services are integrated to best meet the needs of students, families, and the school community.
