Under the direction of the Principal/Recess Coordinator, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a physical education classroom or outdoor environment; assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans; set-up equipment for physical education classes and sports activities; perform routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college level units in physical education, recreation, education or related field and one year of
experience in assisting teachers in a classroom and with children in an educational or organized learning environment, such as Paraprofessional in the District.
CPR and First Aid certification are required within 30 days of hire.
