Come join our team at the brand new Fortune Preschool: Elk Grove location! This will be a Reggio Emilia inspired facility with room for creativity and growth. We are seeking a director who has a strong foundation in play-based, developmentally appropriate child care/ preschool settings. Seeking a strong leader who will help to open a new facility and enroll to capacity. General Summary: The Preschool Director is responsible for the success of the preschool program and services at the Elk Grove location. The Director will oversee daily operations of the preschool and provide leadership in the areas of academic and non-academic programs and personnel development to support the school mission and growth priorities. Additionally, the Director will support institutional structure, operating procedures, financial stability and goals for Fortune Preschool now and into the future. The Director will strive towards ongoing community building and will put into place operating procedures so that parents, administrators, teachers and student teachers are free to exchange ideas, share concerns, and belong to an environment where all feel welcomed and respected. The Preschool Director will be in charge of all aspects of the preschool program. This includes, but is not limited to, hiring staff, managing enrollment and observing and overseeing of the day-to-day activities within the program. Fortune Preschool is designed to offer parents a high-quality choice in early childhood education and to ensure every child is prepared for a smooth transition into Kindergarten, whether they transition into a Fortune charter school or any other school. The program is based on best practices in early learning and this site will serve as a training facility/lab school for future educators.

This can be either of the following permits: Child Development Program Director Permit Children's Center Supervision Permit OR 15 units in Child Development; Child, Family, & Community; ECE Program and Curriculum; ECE Administration; and any other ECE course with four years of experience working in a licensed child care center; OR Possess an AA degree in Child Development/ECE with 3 units in ECE Administration and two years of experience working in a licensed child care center; OR Possess a BA degree in Child Development/ ECE with 3 units in ECE Administration and one year of experience working in a licensed child care center.

Enrollment • Supports strategies to maintain existing students, recruit and grow enrollment. • Promotes a positive image of the school to existing and prospective families.
