Job Summary
The instructional assistant is employed by John Muir Charter Schools and is responsible for supporting classroom instruction and increasing one-on-one learning opportunities of youth participating in the Urban Conservation Corps Inland Empire. UCCIE and JMCS’s innovative education programs are designed to provide youth, ages 18-26, with an engaging educational experience that meets individual needs. We combine direct instruction, project work, credit recovery, life skills, conservation corps related vocational education, and academic experiences into a highly personalized high school classroom. These classroom activities are combined with top notch paid vocational training provided by UCCIE.
Requirements / Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Experience as an instructional assistant, paraeducator, or tutor in a secondary school setting Strong mathematics background and demonstrated ability to tutor Math
