THE POSITION: The Coordinator III / ELD, World Language & Dual Language shall provide technical, specialized, consultative, advisory, supervisory and planning services for development of local and regional capacity for LEA achievement and continuous improvement through on-site visits, regional events, and statewide convenings, especially as related to World and Dual Language Program development and the English Learner Roadmap; provide leadership for districts in the development of District EL Master plans and activities; provide technical assistance to Title III schools and districts; plan, organize, develop, recommend, and evaluate programs, processes, and procedures; serve as a resource to school districts and the office in the area Title III guidelines and regulations and services to multilingual learners; coordinate the Title III budget; plan and conduct special studies and workshops; monitor Federal and state legislation and provide interpretation and guidance; coordinate, monitor, and review Title III services with local, county, state, and federal agencies; and perform other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Any combination of education and experience that would be likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five or more years of comprehensive, directly related and progressive educational administrative experiences, with at least three years in public school setting as a site level principal. Other administrative experience may include district and/or county-level administrative positions in K-12 education. Professional development experience in the field of instruction for English learners, Multilingual learners, and/or World Language learners is required. Teaching experience with diverse populations is desirable. Education: A Master’s degree or higher in education or closely related field from an institution of higher l learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations as recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE (Must attach a detailed certification/credential with document number to application): • Possess and maintain a valid Administrative Service Credential. • Possess and maintain a valid California Teaching Credential. • Possess a full English Learner authorization authorizing instruction in Departmentalized English Language Development such as a BCC, LDS, CLAD or BCLAD. Must attached certification/credential with document number to application.
