Job Summary
We are searching for a teacher to join our Alternative Education team for the remainder of the 2022/23 school year. Earle Jamieson (EJ) is an alternative education school for our counties most “at promise” 6th through 12th-grade youth. Although students are only with us for a short time, we have a privileged opportunity to have a positive impact on their social and emotional development. EJ is a small school where students are referred to us by their home school district. Our staff works as a team and has a culture of care for one another. Student, parents, and staff are valued contributors to each student's educational journey. Students in this program have either been expelled by their home district, and/or referred by the county probation department or truancy board. Students (grades 6 - 12) come to this program with a variety of challenges. They have the opportunity to regain academic credit through individualized attention, small classroom attendance, and additional onsite support for social-emotional learning.
