Ednovate Background
Ednovate launched its first school, USC Hybrid High, a personalized learning high school, in 2012. Since then, Ednovate has grown to six schools and is on a trajectory to continue to grow over the next several years. Ednovate is committed to serving in areas where students traditionally lack access to a quality college prep education by building tuition-free, safe, and high-performing public schools to serve neighborhoods that need it the most. Ednovate is currently planning for our next growth phase as we continue to fulfill our mission to make a positive multigenerational change within the communities we serve and in our profession.
Potential Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist students with classwork, supporting reading, writing, speaking, and listening
- Support students with materials which will assist with achieving English language proficiency
- Translate when needed
Candidate Qualifications
- Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in, instructing reading readiness, and mathematics readiness, at a high school level
- Prior experience or interest related to STEM education preferred
- Self Starter who is able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Google Products, Zoom, and Canvas
- Demonstration of success in college level courses
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Belief that all Ednovate students will succeed in college and make a Positive Multigenerational Change
- A College Degree is NOT required, however, enrollment in a college or university program is preferred.
- Unwavering determination to do whatever it takes to help our students succeed
Compensation
This is a temporary full time position with an hourly rate of $19 an hour, applicants should expect to fulfill the responsibilities of this position through June 16, 2023.
