Job Summary
This posting is intended to establish an eligibility pool of applicants for Special Education (Mild/Mod) openings for the 2022-2023 school year. The La Mesa-Spring Valley School District provides a continuum of program options for children identified as needing special education services. Every effort is made to provide needed services in the least restrictive environment. Children who qualify for special education services are provided an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) or an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Programs are available for children from kindergarten through eighth grade. Special Education (Mild/Mod) teachers will serve students with mild to moderate disabilities, including specific learning disabilities; mild to moderate intellectual disabilities; other health impairment; or serious emotional disturbance.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential Mild/Mod with EL Authorization/CLAD or appropriate equivalent credential(s) and authorization(s) for assignment. Note: Intern eligible candidates are encouraged to apply and will be considered only after all fully credentialed candidates have been exhausted; please upload a copy of your intern eligibility letter from your college/university for consideration.
