OR 2. official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) Instructional Assistant III’s support our severe/emotionally disturbed students. We are looking for candidates with any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job duties; Severe/Emotionally Disturbed - working with students who have a Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs. Students designated as an emotionally disturbed (ED) class or an autism class, or assigned to a Behaviorist to assist individual students. See the job description for full details. Experience working with groups of children; experience working with impaired children or adults highly desirable; coursework in child development highly desirable. In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.

          The works hours can vary. The district pays 100% of the employee’s medical, dental, life and vision insurance coverage and pays 75% of the coverage for dependent medical. Positions that are at least 4 hours or more per day are entitled to full benefits (district-paid medical, dental and vision) for employee, in addition to sick leave, vacation time off and paid holidays.
