Requirements / Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience: 1. High School Diploma or the equivalent; and 2. Three (3) years of experience working within a classroom setting, and 3. Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills, and 4. Complete Play coordinator training within 14 days of hire, and 5. Demonstrate desire and experience working successfully with students exhibiting behavior problems in the classroom. 6. CPR / First Aid / AED certificate required or must submit proof of registration for the course within 30 days of official start date. This is a mandatory requirement to be eligible to remain in this position. Tutoring experience and/or working with students preferred.

This position will ensure there are sufficient resources to promote each of the ‘play types’ as listed in the Springs Play Guide. This position will coordinate extended play schedules and activities with Springs teaching and support staff in addition to supervising supervise students at recess and after school.
