Robotics Team Member Job Description The Quarry Lane School is looking to add a passionate team member to its rapidly expanding robotics program. Quarry Lane Robotics has been widely recognized for excellence at the regional, national and international levels. As a part of the team, you will be directly contributing to that continual success. The Quarry Lane School invests heavily in its team members and ample resources, which provides you with sustained support and access to professional quality equipment. Our shop boosts of nearly every conceivable piece of equipment necessary to fabricate and assemble just about anything imaginable, including a stocked wood shop, multiple laser cutters, multiple 3d printers and multiple CNC mills. We are currently looking to add an additional robotics mentor to our program. The ideal candidate should be able to work well collaboratively with others, believe in the goals and mission of The Quarry Lane School and FIRST Robotics (see www.firstinspires.org for more information), and be open minded and willing to learn. Prior experience with robotics, any CAD software, programming, or rapid prototyping equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines is appreciated, but not required. Applicants should be comfortable working and supervising an active shop environment. We are looking for a passionate educator who is excited to work with some of the most talented, compassionate and driven 4th – 12th grade students the Bay has to offer. This position involves some teaching, more mentoring, during the school day and some after school - prepping for competitions and some weekends (competitions). There is some flexibility with exact hours and days depending on the needs of the successful candidate.
