ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, maintains and directs operational activities and performs journey-level mechanical repair and maintenance of automotive vehicles and school buses, including diesel and gasoline operated, alternative fuel natural gas (CNG) and Liquid Propane gas (LPG) as well as grounds maintenance equipment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: An Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school plus three years of related experience and/or training; or five years of experience in the maintenance and repair of a variety of diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment. *Pending approval of updated job description from Personnel Commission. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession and maintenance of a valid California Bus Driver's Certificate (class B). A "P" (Passenger Transport Vehicle ) endorsement California Motor Vehicle Driver's License is desired.
