In these cases, Montessori training and experience are preferred; experience working with children is required. Most assignments are part-time, beginning between 8 and 9 am and typically ending by 2 pm.

Requirements:
Under NCLB guidelines, candidates shall hold a minimum of an Associate of Arts degree; or pass a subject matter equivalency test (Paraprofessional Certificate) combined with a high school diploma.

Duties:
• Instructional support in the Montessori classroom as well as ability and willingness to assist with small group intervention activities and specialized curriculum presentations.
• Indoor/outdoor supervision of students during recess, lunch periods and other non-instructional periods.
• Other duties, as required

Compensation:
* This position is based on a step and column pay scale, based on education and experience.
* As a part-time position, no benefits are available.
* Work schedule is 185 days per year, beginning in August and ending in June. A copy of the school calendar is available at our website: www.cacmp.org.

Instructional Assistants work part-time, Monday through Friday, 20-28 hours per week, depending on the grade level assignment. Most assignments commonly scheduled from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm but this can vary depending on the campus and grade level assignment.
