The Westminster School District, located in West Orange County, operates 17 schools: 13 elementary sites, three middle schools, and one site which provides preschool programs. The District has approximately 1,100 employees. The Westminster School District is recognized for high academic achievement and serves about 8,200 students, grades Preschool-8th. The district offers a broad scope of supplemental instructional programs including two dual immersion programs, GATE academy, music and band, exploratory STEAM/Coding programs, and state-of-the-art science and art facilities. Requirements / Qualifications
THE POSITION: Under the direction of the Executive Director, Business Services, serves as the primary supervisor of employees in payroll, accounting, purchasing and warehouse operations of the district. Coordinates accounting functions of the Student Body and Nutrition Services. Responsible for data processing operations affecting the accounting and payroll functions of the district. Participates in the formulation of district policy as a member of the Westminster School District Management Team; performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, business administration, or a related field, plus three years of extensive work experience in financial recordkeeping at a responsible level preferably in a public school district. Supervisory experience required. A current Resume and three (3) letters of recommendation are required. A letter of recommendation from your current or previous supervisor is desired. All Letters of recommendation must be dated within 24 months of application.
