Applicants must hold either a Prelim or CA School Nurse Services credential OR must possess a CA Registered Nurse License AND be willing to enroll in a School Nurse Credential Services program (and obtain 2 years successful completion in that program). Out of state credential/license will not be accepted. Successful nursing experience, preferably in the field of public health, is desirable.
Competency test will be administered to all qualified applicants. Credential copy must include DETAILED information (i.e. expiration date, authorization), available at the link provided to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Must upload the required documents and upload the attachment named exactly as stated or you will not be considered for this position.

The role of the School Nurse is to support student and staff well-being with the goal of promoting academic success for all students within a safe and healthful school environment. All duties performed are carried out in accordance with state law, nursing practice standards, and school district policies and procedures. Position qualifies for full health and wellness benefits including retirement (CalPERS or STRS based on credentials). See job description for duties and responsibilities.
