DCP was the first charter school in Silicon Valley and currently operates two high schools and two middle schools in San Jose, CA. DCP currently serves 1750 students in grades 5-12 and provides college coaching, mentoring, and college scholarships to over 400 alumni. The position of ERMHS Counselor is responsible for supporting the academic and socio-emotional needs of students with IEPs, using a strategic and systems-based process that reflects the specific counseling needs of students and the overall evolving needs of the academic environment.

Valid certification/licensure for ERMHS including at least one of the following: Educational Psychologist PPS, School Psychologist Licensed Psychologist Marriage Family Therapist (MFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

      Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university At least two years of successful school counseling experience preferred Experience working with students who have a background of limited resources Excellent organization, time management and follow-up skills; high sense of urgency; demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently; ability to work as a team and in stressful environments. Knowledge of how to interact, develop interpersonal relationships and work collaboratively with persons from varying backgrounds and experiences. Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data.
