THE POSITION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, performs responsible accounting work relative to payroll, fringe benefits, and related statistical reports. Processes payroll, fringe benefits, and related records for classified, certificated, or hourly employees as assigned. Answers employee inquiries regarding payroll methods, rules and regulations. Operates calculator, computer work station, and performs related duties as required. Work hours may vary to meet the needs of the Business Services Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by course work in accounting or financial record-keeping; and two years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting, with some experience in payroll processing and statistical record-keeping.
