SUBSTITUTE: There is a high demand for substitutes throughout the school year. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of paid or volunteer experience working with children in an organized setting; experience working with autistic students and in applied behavioral analysis is highly desirable. Under current State and Federal Law, requirements include proof of a high school diploma or its equivalent to be submitted with completed application and meet one of the 3 requirements: A) Completion of 2 years of study (48 semester units) at an institution of higher learning, or B) an Associate's Degree or higher, or C) pass a rigorous District-administered assessment that demonstrates the knowledge of and ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing and math. CERTIFICATES: Valid First Aid and CPR certificates (NO ONLINE CPR CERTIFICATE WILL BE ACCEPTED). Must attach with your application. Failure to attach the required documents by the deadline date will result in an incomplete application. WORKING CONDITIONS: Subject to lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 40 lbs. School health environment; subject to exposure to communicable or infectious diseases, emergency medical situations; potential for contact with impulsive, frustrated and agitated students who may demonstrate aggressive behaviors. Substitute demand is continuous for this classification.
