EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • Any combination equivalent to: o 15 units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development (ECE/CD) and four years of teaching in a licensed day care center or comparable group child care program. OR o AA degree with a major or emphasis in ECE/CD and at least two years of teaching experience in a licensed day care center or comparable group child care program. REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: • Valid Child Development Master Teacher Permit (or higher) issued by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. • Copy of valid First Aid and CPR certificates. • Copy of valid California Driver’s License. • Knowledge of current concepts used in Early Childhood Education. • Knowledge of oral and written communication skills. • Knowledge of methods of observing, evaluating and recording child behavior. • Ability to interact with children and adults in an effective manner. • Ability to plan, develop, and implement educational experiences for children. • Ability to maintain a healthy and safe environment. __________________________________________________________
