WISH Charter Middle/ High School will serve as a small, high-performing school that will model best practices for inclusive education, university partnerships, and a constructivist, interdisciplinary approach to instruction that leverages technology in a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum.

Position Overview:  The Facilities Manager for WISH Charter Middle/ School will be responsible for supervising facility maintenance, as well as the Essential Duties & Responsibilities outlined below.  Additional duties for this position will be to support the Principal and Office Manager, as well as ensure a secure and warm environment for the student body.

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Implement a safe valet procedure for morning drop off and afternoon pick-up of student body, and supervise support staff to ensure effective execution of the established systems

  • Order general supplies for faculty and staff according to school policies

  • Support the Mission, Philosophy, and Core Tenets of WISH Charter Middle School

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned


Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Must be computer proficient; MAC experience preferred. Experience with Google Docs a plus

  • Must be organized, efficient and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be flexible, focused and a team player

Office Communication: When in the office, answer phones, welcome people in the main office, support students, teachers, staff & parents who visit the office, Hospitality - Make sure we WISHIFY all guests when they visit for tours, audits, special events and any other special occasion. Prepare all materials in advance for staff events and delegate duties to volunteers. Set up events the night before to the greatest extent possible.

Tasks include but not limited to setting up for events, answering phones, supervising our Lunch Server, ordering of supplies, filing paperwork for after hours events, reserving buses for field trips and providing support to teachers with regard to copy machines and paper supplies. Ensure campus is well maintained and organized and assist principal's in other tasks as required.
