Core instruction includes comprehensive traditional academic subjects extended to include character development, digital literacy, art, music, hands-on science, and physical education. All schools offer embedded programs to address specific needs of gifted students and English Learners. Each school maintains a 1.0–1.5 full time positions to support intervention needs for all students. Each student in grades 3-6 has 1:1 access to Chromebooks. In grades K-2 there is one mobile digital device for every two students. All instructional environments include access to high speed wireless connectivity to the internet.

Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Services or other assigned supervisor, assist in implementing behavior intervention plans; implementation of instructional and behavior strategies, evaluation of student progress through data collection techniques for regular education teachers, special education teachers, site personnel and others working with students with disabilities. Representative Duties • Implement behavior treatment programs as designed by the supervising Behaviorist • Maintain and analyze appropriate records, collect data, and complete intervention logs. • Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, administrators, service providers, school psychologists, as well as community agencies. • Provide behavioral services to students. • Ensure all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulations. • Effectively communicate with teachers, administrators, site staff and parents regarding general performance of students. • Travel between school sites within the Goleta Union School District to provide services. • Utilize assistive technology and data collection systems. • Provide modeling to paraprofessionals and teachers who provide instruction to students upon request. • Provide program input, demonstrate program procedures, and implement program recommendations. • Perform other related duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

Board-Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or equivalent. Associate's Degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university.
