Job Summary

Train the next generation of nursing assistants! Typical class schedule is 3 days a week 8am-2:30pm for Theory and 6am-2:30pm for Clinical. Schedule can be adjusted in coordination with the skilled nursing facilities. Staff support available for first time teachers. Curriculum support available through online content. All classes are in person.

• Possession of a California teaching Credential (preferred): a PRELIMINARY or CLEAR Adult Education Teaching Credential in appropriate field. -OR-   • If not in possession of a Credential: Must be willing to obtain the appropriate teaching credential (The Adult School will provide support with obtaining the appropriate credential).

  • Letter of Introduction (Also known as Cover Letter)
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation
  • Resume

      • Must be appropriately qualified to meet CDPH approval as a CNA instructor: - 2 years of nursing experience - LVN or RN. - 1 year of providing care at a Skilled Nursing Facility -as an LVN or RN. - 1 year of verifiable teaching experience of adults or DSD certificate. Must have or be willing to obtain the appropriate teaching credential. • Position is contracted for 2022 - 2023 School Year with the possibility of continuing for Summer and beyond. • Please do not mail, e-mail, or fax application documents to our office.
