School Counselor Internship/Practicum: Under the supervision of a credentialed school counselor, the school counseling intern will help with behavioral, educational, and college and career readiness supports to individuals and small groups of students; will assist students in understanding and seeking solutions to social, emotional, or academic needs; will serve as a resource for student behavior management strategies, and welfare and attendance concerns. Interns must be enrolled in a Master of Science or higher degree in school counseling, or a closely related field and working toward completion of a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential.
