Job Description:
This position will be the primary resource for students and teachers regarding post-secondary career options. The Career Pathways Aide will help students realize post-secondary options by meeting individually with students, guiding them through their post secondary pathways through case management and WIOA referrals. *This supplemental support position is funded through federal funding sources. As such, continued employment is contingent on the availability of federal funds.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provides additional more targeted supports in alignment with the Career Pathways Coordinators
- Meets one-on-one with students (and parents, if required/desired) to discuss post-secondary goals; assists teachers in creating job individualized plans for students to reach their goal(s).
- Case manages students based on pathways and documents student progress in the case management system
- Maintains a resource bank for all pathways
- Guides students through both individualized and suggested career pathways
- Identifies WIOA eligibility.
- Coordinates WIOA orientation appointments.
- Refers students to WIOA caseloads while ensuring access to funding
- Monitors progress through WIOA partner interactions and activities
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- BA/BS Degree preferred
- California 30-day Substitute permit preferred
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
Requirement of Either:
- Proof of COVID19 Vaccination & Booster (if booster eligible) OR
- Weekly COVID19 Negative Test (option to participate in on-site weekly testing or obtain testing off site)
