Downtown College Prep (DCP) prepares first-generation students for college success and beyond. DCP was the first charter school in Silicon Valley and currently operates one high school and two middle schools in San Jose, CA. DCP currently serves students in grades 5-12. Job Summary
Job Summary
The Behaviorist is responsible for supporting students in building behavioral skills which enable them to appropriately access the academic environment. Under the direction of an assigned administrator, plan, develop, implement and supervise a variety of behavioral services to individuals, groups, and families as a member of a school site behavioral team by using applied behavior analysis. Prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports; and train and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
Requirements / Qualifications
Master’s degree in psychology, behavior analysis or closely related field and two years of increasingly responsible experience in behavior analysis, behavior management and/or socialization experience in a similar setting and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. OR A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavior analysis or closely related field and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification and working towards a Master’s degree in psychology, behavior analysis or closely related field and pursuing certification as a BCBA. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) OR Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) and working towards a BCBA. Valid California driver’s license.
