
Summer School Special Education -Designated Instructional Services School Counselor at Temple City Unified School District
Requirements / Qualifications
2022 Summer School Schedule: June 15 - July 31, 2022 (M-TH) 7:30 am - 12:30 pm (schedule may change) QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: • Knowledge of principles, methods, techniques, strategies, and trends in educational, vocational, career, social, and emotional adjustment counseling; • Knowledge of applicable and appropriate aptitude, interest and achievement appraisal instruments, techniques, and procedures; • Knowledge of social service and youth service agencies in the local area; • Knowledge of social, emotional, and behavioral characteristics of adolescent students; • Knowledge of program evaluation and research techniques, strategies, and procedures; and • Knowledge of appropriate curriculum and instructional programs pertaining to students with a variety of aptitudes and varying interests. Education and Certifications: Need to have all of the following • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science • Appropriate California Pupil Personnel Services Credential authorizing service as a School Counselor, School Child Welfare and Attendance or School Social Worker • Marriage Family Therapy License or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker • CBEST or BSR equivalency
