Must possess a California Pupil Personnel Services Credential for School Counseling. Valid California teaching credential preferred. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Ability to work with administrative, counseling and teaching staff in a team setting. Must possess knowledge of graduation requirements, student transcripts, eligibility requirements for college, response to intervention (RtI), and other programs related to providing counsel to students. Knowledge of principles, methods, techniques, strategies, and trends in educational, social, and emotional adjustment counseling; social and youth service agencies in the local area; and Section 504 Plan and Individual Education Plans. Must possess knowledge of sound instructional practices. Must possess experience with culturally diverse and at-risk students.
