Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Child Care Program Coordinator and guidance of the site Child Care Coordinator, assists in organizing, coordinating and supervising the operations of the district’s childcare program while performing a variety of instructional activities. Assists in creating and organizing a safe and healthy childcare program and environment favorable to learning and personal growth for students. Assists in clerical and administrative duties. Performs other related duties as required.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skill is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill would be: Experience: One year of professional experience working with groups of children, planning activities and the supervising of children/students in a School District or accredited Child Care facility. Desired Experience: Professional experience working in a child care program. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is highly desirable. Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by training or coursework in child growth and development, recreation or a closely related field.
