Meet the “Basic Requirements for Teachers” – go to https://dioceseofmonterey.org/opportunities-in-our-schools. -Be dedicated to the best interests of children —intellectual, spiritual and moral development. -Provide answers to Supplemental Questions (below). -Exhibit excellent oral and written skills. -Create a physically and emotionally safe classroom. -Establish effective relationships with parents. -Have completed a BS or BA degree from a recognized college or university. -Hold a valid California Teaching Credential or its equivalent from another state. -Provide Employment Verification and Release forms. -Be knowledgeable about current State Standards, best practices in teaching and using data to drive instruction. -Be proficient in educational technology and have a willingness to integrate new technology into the curriculum. Teaching experience preferred Supplemental Questions As part of the application process, teacher candidates are asked to submit written responses to the following: 1.
