Job Summary
The special education instructional assistant assists the teacher in ways determined by the teacher to be useful in improving the quality of educational opportunities, including clerical duties, the supervision of pupils, and instructional tasks which, in the judgment of the teacher may be performed by a non-credentialed employee. The work need not be performed in the presence of the teacher, but the teacher retains responsibility for the instruction and supervision. REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS: Resume Letter of Intent Two Current Letters of Recommendation (not necessary for current FCUSD employees) Transcripts, AA/BA/BS/MA - min 48 units of university/college credit (should include college level math and English) OR Proof of passing CBEST exam OR Successful completion of District Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test * NOTE: Foreign Transcripts must be evaluated for U.S. Equivalency
Upon Conditional Offer of Employment - Department of Justice Criminal Background Check completed at the district office for a fee of $30. - TB Test (Valid for 4 Years) - First Aid/CPR Training - Complete district training on Mandated Reporter, Covid 19, and Sexual Harassment - Pre-Employment Physical Evaluation conducted through the District. Lift test included (MIN 50 lbs). ***Pursuant to the State Public Health Officer Order of August 11, 2021 affecting all TK-12 public and private school employees, all Folsom Cordova Unified School District employees and substitutes are required to either provide evidence of COVID~19 vaccination or participate in weekly COVID~19 testing***
