We are seeking a candidate for a Full-time Early Childhood/Elementary School Music Teacher for the 2023– 2024 academic school year. Position Summary To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their musical potential. We aim to provide a Music program with a vocal concentration that also incorporates developmentally appropriate instruction around rhythm, movement, and improvisation. Jr. K and K programs are geared towards singing, movement, and exposure to different styles and musical cultures. First graders are our first instrumentalists, and work with our large collection of Orff pitched-percussion instruments. The second grade uses a fun curriculum to learn musical appreciation through violin performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Teach approximately twenty-four 45-minute periods per week. · Teach Music appreciation, history, singing, movement, performance etiquette, · Follow QLS Music curriculum and make additions as needed · Provide appropriate instruction and activities for students to meet school policies, goals, and objectives. · Assess and grade student effort, progress and achievement using the QLS grading rubric · Understand and upholds all policies and procedures outlined in the personnel, faculty, and student/p
