We are seeking a candidate for a Full-time Early Childhood/Elementary School Music Teacher for the 2023– 2024 academic school year. The Quarry Lane School seeks to attract teachers who are experts in their field, love working with children, and who are excited to continue growth and development as educators. The Quarry Lane School is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college preparatory school serving preschool through grade 12, which supports a diverse faculty and student body. Position Summary To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their musical potential. We aim to provide a Music program with a vocal concentration that also incorporates developmentally appropriate instruction around rhythm, movement, and improvisation. Jr. K and K programs are geared towards singing, movement, and exposure to different styles and musical cultures. First graders are our first instrumentalists, and work with our large collection of Orff pitched-percussion instruments. The second grade uses a fun curriculum to learn musical appreciation through violin performance.
