Requirements / Qualifications
• Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred. • Current California Teaching Credential required. • Current California Administrative Credential or working towards obtaining. • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a classroom teacher with increasing responsibilities at the site level. • Three (3) years of site administration experience preferred. • Candidates selected for employment must have a certificate showing that within the last 60 days the person has submitted to a tuberculosis risk assessment and if tuberculosis risk factors were identified, has been examined by a physician, nurse practitioner, or local health department and has been found to be free of infectious tuberculosis. • Candidates selected for employment are required to be fingerprinted and cleared by the CA Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigations through the LCER. • As of October 15, 2021, the California Department of Public Health order titled “Vaccine Verification for Workers in Schools” requires unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated school employees to be tested at least once weekly. Proof of complete vaccination status must be provided prior to employment, or weekly testing will be required.
