High School Math Teacher (Shingle Springs Campus) at Providence Christian School
Job Summary
Job Summary
Thank you for looking at our post. We are looking for an energic educator to lead and develop our high school math program. Providence Christian School in Shingle Springs, (right off of Hwy 50), has been serving the community since 1978. Always a small school, we previously stopped at 8th grade. The 2022/23 school year though, will mark the third year of our high school program. In the first two years of the program, it has been taught mostly with an online curriculum program. We are now looking to transition our math and sciences to be taught entirely in-person by a certified teacher. It will take a person with the right mindset. Someone that can navigate a small classroom environment with a full range of high school grades. Someone that can teach Algebra through Calculus. A person that can resonate with the kid that loves math, and the kid that has no idea why they need to learn math. Maybe even more importantly, someone that can help lead and really build up this program into something that will make a tangible impact on the lives of our high school students. We are a small private Christian school with among the lowest tuition rates in the area, (many students receive additional tuition assistance too). As such, our salary offerings aren’t great and we don’t offer benefits, (apart from a neat offering for teachers that wish to have their kids here). Although we lack top-end compensation packages, we do offer life-impact potential for like-minded individuals. We have a loyal, dedicated staff that has the best interest of our students at heart. We also are proud that a high-percentage of our students come from families of first-responders and military. In addition, for this position specifically – it will provide the right person the freedom to implement some of their own ideas as to how best to reach their students. If you think this might be for you, please let us know. Apply online or call Tiffin Howard at 530-672-6557 x 241.
