These documents are required to be invited to an Orientation and moved forward in the application process: • A valid and current qualifying document issued by the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing (www.ctc.ca.gov) such as: • Emergency 30 Day Substitute Permit • Prospective Teaching Permit (Only if applicant is a current NMUSD Student Teacher) • CA Teaching Credential • Multiple Subject • Single Subject • Education Specialist Instruction • CA Pupil Personnel Services Credential • Evidence that an application for any of the above credentials or permits has been submitted to the OCDE and is pending evaluation. This can include a copy of an email from the OCDE or a screenshot from the OCDE website. • Copy of Transcripts (post-high school) • Unofficial transcripts are preferred • 2 Letters of Recommendation • Should be dated within the last two school years

**Note: If your application is missing anything you will be contacted via email and given the opportunity to complete your application. You can find more information on how to attach a document to an application that you have already submitted on the edjoin.org help page. ** If you are not a fully credentialed teacher and you still need to apply for your Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit or Prospective Teaching Permit, it is recommended that you apply through the Orange County Department of Education. You can make an appointment to apply by calling (714)966-4000, you can also get your OCDE Clearinghouse Fingerprints, which are required to sub, at the same time.

      Comments and Other Information

      This position will remain open all school year. If you are selected to move forward, you will be invited by email to attend a substitute orientation. A specific time and date to attend along with other necessary information will be included in the email. Orientations are held monthly.
