St. Ignatius Parish School is located at 3245 Arden Way, Sacramento, CA. The school was established in 1954 and currently employs fifty-five faculty and staff, with an enrollment Preschool-8th grade of 415 students. Classroom size ranges from 35-40 students. High School Degree required. A strong emphasis is placed on our Catholic faith and its growth in our students and the student’s progress towards achievement of our Jesuit Virtues and our Schoolwide Learning Expectations. The school librarian serves as a guide with and for students in their formational journeys in a Jesuit school. In collaboration with colleagues, our school librarian engages in ongoing personal, professional and religious development in order to sustain a vibrant community committed to the mission of Jesuit education. Our librarian respects Catholic values and aids students in Christian formation by exemplifying Catholic living, both in and out of the classroom. Our librarian is accountable to the principal, implements the school mission and philosophy, follows the policies of the Diocese of Sacramento, the St.Ignatius School Staff Handbook, and adheres to the directives set by school administration.
