Experience: Two (2) years of experience in quantity food preparation, including cooking, serving, and kitchen maintenance in a commercial, institutional, or school food service setting. Education: Must have high school diploma or a GED certificate. Pass and maintain an approved Safety and Sanitation Certificate, supplemented by training in nutrition, quantity cooking, or other related areas. Attach any documents that you feel will help demonstrate that you meet the minimum qualifications listed above (i.e. resume, transcript, diploma). Documents you wish to attach should be uploaded via EDJOIN by the filing deadline in order to be considered in the hiring process (pertains to current employees also). IMPORTANT COMMENTS: • After the filing deadline, all candidates will be notified by email if they do or do not qualify to take the written exam. • Candidates must achieve 70% on the written examination to qualify for an oral interview. Examinations will be weighted 30% for written and 70% for oral. Candidates must obtain a composite score of 70% or better to qualify for the eligibility list. The exam and interviews will take place on June 10, 2022 at the KEEP By The Sea at Rancho El Chorro located at 2450 Pennington Creek Rd., San Luis Obispo, California.

      Comments and Other Information

      CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: A preplacement medical assessment/health screening, at office expense, is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Possess or secure within one month of employment a certificate for first aid and CPR issued by the American Red Cross or equivalent. Obtain a clear certificate of Tuberculosis. Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operator’s license. Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
