Comments and Other Information
CORE Butte is a Personalized Learning public Charter School. An individual learning plan is developed by the teacher for each student. Students attend classes two - four days per week with parents providing instructional support on the days that the student is not in classes. The teacher monitors progress, assesses for understanding, and guides learning along with the parent. Optional learning environments may include independent study, supplemental classroom instruction, and/or classes in the community. The high school follows a hybrid model, which may include a blend of learning center academic instruction, independent study, and classes at Butte College and/or California State University, Chico.
Under the oversight of the Executive Director, the Director of Special Programs will oversee the implementation, monitoring of legal compliance activities and coordination pertaining to students in Special Education, English Learner, and other Specialized Programs. Oversee designated staff members and provide leadership in the maintenance of special education and EL services. Please refer to the attached job description for additional information. This position includes a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental and vision coverage and is a CalSTRS covered position.
