Valid non-emergency California teaching credential, experience working with children or adults with disabilities, experience implementing new curriculum and conducting sutdent assessments.

Independence Network is a program within Santa Clara Adult Education for adults with disabilities. Independence Network is launching a new certificate program for individuals who want to gain the skills necewssary to living independ or in a supported living situation. The program will follow a curriculum that teaches students self-care, personal safety, cooking, budgeting and household responsibility skills. Students will show mastery of skills to earn a certificate indicating they are prepared to live independently. Student to teacher ration is 6:1.
