Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Deputy Executive Director or designee, the Assistant Director of Research Learning supports the agency implement research and evidence to strengthen instructional practice and school leadership for the local educational agencies (LEAs) we serve. The Assistant Director of Research Learning will work with CCEE staff, statewide agencies, and other partners to find opportunities to better integrate research and practice, including, but not limited to the development and vetting of professional learning resources, facilitation of research learning networks, management of research practice partnership, and supporting research initiatives aimed at improving educational systems. CCEE is looking for individuals with experience and expertise in developing and facilitating mutually beneficial collaborations that promote the production and use of research in K-12 educational settings.

EDUCATION: Master’s degree in an education-related field from an accredited college/university is required. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of four years developing, leading, and project managing educational research initiatives and working in a K-12 classroom or school setting. Experience leading systems improvement efforts in districts and schools, preferably with district office or county office experience at the cabinet level. Applicants must be able to demonstrate significant experience and expertise in developing and managing research projects and facilitating experiential, job-embedded, and interactive learning for adults in the K-12 education domain.

CONDITIONS of EMPLOYMENT: Those selected are required to submit to a Department of Justice background check, provide proof of freedom from tuberculosis and vaccination for COVID-19.
