Job Summary

General Description: The After School Program Aide provides support and assistance to students participating in the After School Program. This includes providing instruction or supervision to students engaged in specific programs or activities. This may involve working one-on-one with students or in small groups. The Aide will work to ensure all students are safe and accounted for while they are in the After School Program. Essential Duties Include: • Following and carrying out all of the workplace expectations, policies, regulations and rules of the District; including enforcing rules and expectations for student behavior. • Ensuring activities, facilities and the After School Program environment are safe; including reporting any potentially unsafe conditions to the appropriate person. • Providing direct instruction to students and supervising students while they participate in After School Program activities. • Assisting students with homework and reading. • Leading crafts, play, or other activities. • Cleaning up after each activity. • Ensuring facilities, equipment, and supplies are properly secured and/or stored. Qualifications: Knowledge of: • Behavior management and proper disciplinary actions. • School rules and behavior expectations. • How to properly utilize tools, equipment and supplies in the application of the program • Education and/or practical training in student supervision, tutoring, games, crafts and other activities. Hours: 2:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday following the traditional school calendar Requirements/Qualifications: • Letter of Introduction • 2 Letters of Reference
