Requirements / Qualifications

Quarry Trail Elementary is a new school within the Rocklin Unified School District. It will be opening its doors for the first time in August of 2022. Quarry Trail was created with a dual-language (Spanish) immersion program. This position will provide standards-based instruction in Spanish in two content areas by a BCLAD/Bilingual Authorized teacher, with another teacher providing instruction in English in two other content areas. Applicants for this position are responsible for creating a dual-language immersion (Spanish) classroom environment that ensures learning and personal growth of every student. REQUIRED: Bilingual (Spanish) / BCLAD Authorization TK Teacher Requirements: Additional TK Teacher requirement must be met by August 1, 2022 – Any ONE of the options below: 1. Child Development Permit issued by the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing 2. 24 units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development – attach transcript and highlight the applicable units 3. Taught TK prior to July 1, 2015 (or have taught TK for 2 years by June 30, 2022) – Include verification 4. Combination of Option #3 & #4 (approved by the District) Bachelor's Degree with valid California Teaching Credential authorizing service in assigned grade and subject area is required. Bilingual (Spanish) Authorization is required. Desirable Qualifications: Teaching experience at grade level or subject area; Master's Degree and/or post graduate course work.
