Job Summary
Assists teacher with instructing general education and special education students (e.g. math groups, reading, behavioral skills, writing, verbal skills, etc.) for the purpose of implementing academic and behavior goals and ensuring students success. There are several types of Instructional Assistant: Classroom, Physical Education, Special Education, Severely Disabled, and Positive Behavior Assistant.

All applicants must have: 1. High School diploma or GED 2. Six months experience working with children in a supervisory capacity, volunteer experience is accepted to meet the requirement. 3. A completed Employment Application. Resumes are not accepted in-lieu of a completed application.
QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL BE INVITED TO A FUTURE EXAMINATION. Instructional Assistant positions are 3 - 3.5 hours per day. Applications are accepted continuously to maintain an eligibility list. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements: > High School diploma or GED > Six months experience working with children in a supervisory capacity; volunteer experience may be used to meet this requirement. > Passing score on written examination.
