Job Summary
Description of Position: The Assistant Project Consultant has responsibility for supporting the development, implementation and sustainability of wellness activities supported by the Marin County Office of Education (MCOE). Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, the Assistant Project Consultant interfaces and provides support in the areas of health, wellness, and mental health within the MCOE, local agencies, and local school districts. The position works closely with the Project Consultant to organize, plan, schedule and hold professional development events and stakeholder meetings that center on wellness and mental health. The position supports initiatives that address the overall health and wellness of the Marin County school community.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree required. 2. Any combination of three years successful experience in administration and teaching or school based mental health service delivery. 3. Valid Pupil Personnel Services credential in School Psychology or School Counseling preferred. 4. Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices that support the strengthening of wellness within a multi-tiered system of support. 5. Valid California driver’s license. 6. Proficiency in Spanish language is highly desirable.

2. Provides input in evaluating the performance of all project and initiative objectives.
3. Provides expertise in one or more areas to whom general questions from the community or districts regarding assigned programs can be referred.
4. Assists with the development and dissemination of materials relating to assigned program area.
5. Provides support and coordination in the arrangement and scheduling of in-service training opportunities with various partners.
6. Reviews current research and trends relating to the assigned program.
7. Assists in planning and carrying out coordination of wellness activities; provides advice, assistance and materials while serving as a resource to school districts in Marin County.
8. Assists in the implementation of workshops, trainings, and informational meetings.
9. Researches and provides information for materials and reports and ensures timely submission of all documents.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
